THE BURDITCH HALL & BRIDGE BAR
A warm welcome awaits you at the Burditch Hall and Wootton Memorial Playing Fields, where you’ll find The Bridge Bar and plenty of opportunity to get involved in village sports.
WCAST is a charity run by a group of volunteer trustees from the community. We manage the playing fields and the Burditch Hall and we are passionate about creating a community hub for sports in Wootton.
Our community bar – The Bridge Bar – is open on Fridays, Saturdays (when there are football matches) and Sundays and is a place for the whole community to get together. We’d love to see you for a drink – perhaps a pint of locally brewed Little Ox beer – and a game of darts or cards with friends, old and new.
We have funded the refurbishment of the Burditch Hall through a crowdfunding campaign that has enabled us to replace the floor, repaint the inside of the hall, refit the bar and replace the windows and doors. We are still fundraising so that we can paint the exterior of the hall, upgrade the kitchen and carry out essential maintenance work.
We are so grateful to everyone who has donated so far – our Crowdfunder is still open if you’d like to support our fundraising.
Please get in touch with WCAST if you’d like to get involved. We’re looking for volunteers to help run sports clubs and events and to offer practical help with looking after the hall and the playing fields.
The Bar is also available for private hire with a brand new catering kitchen included.
The bridge bar opening hours:
